
Herby Summer cooler
Ingredients:
water 1 glass
Chia seeds 1 tsp
5-6 palm sugar cubes/2 tsp palm sugar powder(organic, unrefined)
lime juice 1 tsp or little more
Green washed herb leaves (2 to 3) (Sweet basil/ common basil {tulsi} , lemon grass, mint ice-optional
Preparation:
in a glass bottle or in a glass of water, add chia seeds, herb leaves and palm sugar and allow these to set for 4 to 5 hours- u can keep this in fridge –
After say 4 to 5 hours- get this water, add lime juice , ice if u wish to add-and sip in.
this cooler is full on cooling effect besides packed with benefits of organic unrefined Palm sugar and health benefits of herb leaves.
Know that Herbs like Tulsi, sweet basil, mint leaves are always too strong and to be used in small quantity to get the right flavor. Besides, each herb leaves are medicinal in nature and good to be consumed in less quantity at a time, if not specifically indicated/prescribed.
(I used Krishna basil leaves).


Kokum ice tea
Summer special –
Refreshing kokum ice tea with chia seeds
Ice tea is a nice tea when its ZERO on caffeine/additives/sugar/artificial colours
& HERO on Health
Ingredients:
Dried Kokum (Garcinia indica) florets :3-4
Water
jaggery powder [as per taste ] or kakvi [as per taste]
Chia seeds :1 tsp soaked in water for 3-4 hours/till swells
Ice (optional)
Preparation:
Wash dried kokum florets. In a pan , take 4 cups water and add the florets and bring to boil. Allow to boil and simmer for 5 more minutes. Off the flame and allow to cool completely.
If you using jaggery powder, add it while its boiling.
If using kakvi, add after its cold.
Refrigerate / add ice and soaked chia seeds.
Kokum ice-tea is ready – and trust me- it’s reddish hue is refreshing and soothing- both to the eyes and tummy.

Green Juice
Raw Green leaves are packed with nutrients and they should be consumed on daily bases. Usually Indian cooking have curry leaves, coriander and other seasonal green leaves however most often they are left aside or gets cooked. This green juice will ensure daily dose of essential greens. Ensure to wash the green leaves well.
Ingredients:
Coriander leaves (1/2 cup)
Mint leaves (1/4th cup)
2-3 curry leaves
Black salt (to taste)
Lemon juice to taste
(Add any other seasonal green leaves to this)
Blend all these together. Without sieving, sip it. This can be a great start of the day or a juice before an evening snack.
