Tips to get maximum nutrients of food you eat:

What FOOD is best?

  • Whole, Raw, Regional, Seasonal, Unrefined [salt, sugar, Grain, oil], Chemical free (hence, organic), Preservative free, Process free, Additive free
  • Daily Must: Green leaves, Fruits, Salads, Seeds, Nuts, Sprouts /pulse, +/-whole grain
  • Sugar replacements: Dates, kharek, Raisin, Whole organic jaggery(if rest not available)
  • Salt: Best is unrefined, non-iodized rock salt for daily use

What combination?

  • Avoid eating melons with other fruits.
  • Have your fruits separate from your meals (grains, veggies , etc )Maintain 30 mins between fruits and meals and two hours between meal and Fruits
  • Avoid mixing fruits with veggies (specifically ones with high on starch)in a smoothie
  • Pomegranate, pineapple, Dates, Hard coconut are fine to go with meals

How to cook?

  • Steam your Vegetables
  • GOOD BYE to: Microwave, Aluminum, Non-stick, Plastic utensils (for cooking and storage purposes).
  • Best to avoid: peeling of cucumber, potatoes, apples, beet root, tomatoes. Peels of raw banana can be cooked- it adds lots of fibres to the food. Raw and cooked Watermelon peels make delicious recipes.

How To Consume For Best Result?

  • Mindful eating without distractions (Mobile/ TV/ socialmedia, etc)
  • Chewing well each bite
  • If you are disturbed, angry, irritated, take few deep breaths, ground your energy before putting that bite in your mouth
