Raw watermelon peel Batter for Upam, Dosa, Idli

Raw water melon peel: 1 to 1.5 cup

Dhokla floor / Samo: half cup

Rice floor: half cup

Besan floor (Gram floor) : 1 table spoon

Water to get desired consistency

 

Salt (unrefined, unpolished) as per taste 

Preparation

Wash the water melon peel and cut these to small cubes. Add in a blender, add rest of the ingredients except water and blend. Once blended, open the lid and add water to get desired consistency. The consistency should be that of Apam/Idli batter. Once blended well, empty it in a bowl and allow to settle for min 30 minutes. After 30 minutes it is ready to be used to put in Upam plate / Idli maker . If we want to make dosa, we will add little more of water to get dosa batter consistency.
